Celeste Amparo Pfau is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Birmingham, Alabama. Spanning printmaking, drawing, wearable pieces, and natural material sculpture installation, her practice centers on intuitive compositions created with ink and locally foraged flora. Pfau places public engagement, collaboration, and the celebration of place at the heart of her work, viewing public festivals as vital spaces to connect meaningfully with the broader arts community. Her site-specific projects honor Alabama’s remarkable natural biodiversity alongside the rich cultural and human diversity of the South, transforming shared environments into welcoming realms of local pride and ecological reverence. A featured artist in the 2025 AEIVA Alabama Triennial, she serves on the visual arts faculty at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, is an MFA candidate and Graduate Fellow at the University of Alabama, and holds a BFA from The Cooper Union.
